Problem: The system will not allow me to specify a program code with an AppID greater than 3-characters on Open Account Balances Listing Report

Symptoms:

The Open Account Balances Listing identifies General Ledger accounts with outstanding balances and it displays the subledger transactions that contribute to that balance. Users can create their own layout and publish their reports using Oracle XML Publisher.
Note: This document is not meant to replace the detailed information in the Subledger Accounting Implementation Guide, which can be found on My Oracle Support.

Solution:

This is a known issue; whereby, FAH users cannot specify the program code with an AppID GT than 3-characters--e.g., OPEN_ACCT_BAL_DATA_MGR_<Appid>. See Ques 1 for detailed steps. As a result, FAH users get no data when they attempt to run the Open Account Balances Listing. This problem has been reported in Bug 8857355 and a fix is currently available via Patch 8857355:R12.XLA.A.
