FRM-40105: Unable to resolve reference to item sr_control_blk.SUBMIT

Problem: FRM-40105: Unable to resolve reference to item sr_control_blk.SUBMIT

Creating Service Request thru eBusiness Center >Service Request Tab.
This is standard functionality; Business creates Service Request through eBusiness Center only. (eBusiness Center > Service Request Tab : Entrer required Data: Submit (B))
Queried existing customer who is having a contact number – 25111111


Provided required Data:
SR Type as Master Plan and
Summary as Test and
clicked on Submit button.

SR Number gets generated as 1122706

Once SR gets saved; Clicked on Details button to open the SR form
We are able to see the Customer name, Account, Email Address
except Phone Number

We are facing this issue and raised a TAR for this.

Please see the below screen shot in other instance where we cannot see the Submit button itself after patch application suggested by you.
FRM-40105: Unable to resolve reference to item sr_control_blk.SUBMIT.
FRM-41045: Cannot find item: Invalid ID.


Symptoms:
After applying
1. Apply CS PATCH 11.5.10: BUG FIXES FOR CS: SEP 09 PATCH 8839622

2. Apply: Patch 8772314 problem code mandatory is not working from telesales
Start getting INVALID ID issue in E-business form SR TAB.

1. Using eBusiness Center, the Service Request creation fails with Error:
FRM-40105: Unable to resolve reference to item sr_control_blk.SUBMIT (time: 00:00:38)
Followed by 4 occurences of FRM-41045: Cannot find item: invalid ID.

2. Service requests can be created OK in Create Service Request form (R) Service > Create Service Request.

Solution:


The issue in this SR happens because what you are trying to do is not the intended functionality of the application.

Oracle Development has stated that creating a New SR is not done going thru the details button.
The "Details Button" should NOT allow you to create new SRs.

So, the patch here WILL PREVENT you from creating SRs using the Details button.
