Problem:    Error: ORA-16625: cannot reach the database while rebuilding DG

DGMGRL> show configuration

Configuration
Name: PROD
Enabled: YES
Protection Mode: MaxPerformance
Fast-Start Failover: DISABLED
Databases:
SIMP - Primary database
SIMPDR - Physical standby database

Current status for "PROD”
Error: ORA-16625: cannot reach the database


PROD_SIMP :- OLD primary server, now it is down once up we need to configure standby.
SIMPDR :- This is new primary database.

Solution:

Removing the *.dat from $ORACLE_HOME/dbs
