Problem:    Abnormal termination of the child in crs

Symptoms:

Not able to start the database as the startup command is hanging not updating in alert logs and all crs commands are hanging execpt crsctl check crs.

Cluster Synchronization Services appears healthy
Cluster Ready Services appears healthy
Event Manager appears healthy

Solution:

This is an OS issue causing "Abnormal termination of the child."


The problem is related to HP bug number is QXCR1000940361. 

Solution
Please apply HP patch PHKL_40208.

Workaround: bounce the server might solve the issue
